Many of our Events are open to the public. We sponsor outdoor walks, festivals, and shows that celebrate nature. Stewardship Work Days

We welcome volunteers to join us on our workdays, where we meet outdoors to improve our natural areas. Work involves things like pulling weeds (invasive garlic mustard), cutting & burning invasive brush, planting native species and more. Friends of Hackmatack “Gatherings”

All are invited to join Friends of Hackmatack NWR.  All those registered as a “Friend” are invited to attend our Gatherings. Each Gathering is different, sometimes involving a guest speaker, sometimes going on a hike. See more information by selecting the category Member Gatherings in the right hand column.
